In 1988 he received his diploma in veterinary medicine and veterinary surgery, and in 1990 his diploma in animal health and welfare, both in Nashville, Tennessee.
After graduating from 10 Go turkeys, Dr. Gordon attended St. Mary's Episcopal School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Biology from Auburn University in Year 14. After graduating from the ICCS in 1998, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in '02.
Steven Sorci graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2008 after working as a mother and baby nurse at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. He is now a practicing physician in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Steven Sorrici, a 14th grade graduate of St. Mary's Episcopal School, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Social Work from Nashville College of Veterinary Medicine in '08. After two years as a mother-and-child nurse at East Tennessee State University, he worked for three years at Southside Health System in Nashville, Tennessee.
He chose the profession of veterinarian because he wanted to help animals and educate people about how to improve the quality of life of their pets. He graduated in veterinary medicine from the University of Maine in Orono and is now a frequent visitor to an animal hospital due to his love of animals and his passion for surgery. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Hall moved to the Florida Keys, where he practiced veterinary medicine for fourteen years. Although he likes Memphis, he says he misses the constant Florida sunshine, but he wants to learn to work himself out.

Dr. Barnes joined the McGehee Clinic for Animals in January 2008 and has been keeping pets happy and healthy ever since. Southside Animal Hospital has been providing high quality, compassionate veterinary care since 1993. He is a member of the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association Board of Directors and sits on the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
